Chain of Responsibility

Chain of responsibility (CoR) laws have been around in Australia since the mid-1980s and in the USA since 2016. They were recently updated in October 2018 with the goal of spreading responsibility for health and safety throughout all levels of the supply chain. No matter your company size, the work you do or your position in the chain, you are responsible for implementing and maintaining a CoR compliance system. TigerFleet provides you with the framework to quickly and easily integrate CoR compliance throughout all levels of your organisation. Fatigue Management, Fleet Maintenance and Staff & Contractor Compliance can all be managed from one location with our easy to use software.

CoR is the responsibility of every party in the supply chain that can affect an influence on others. The National Heavy Vehicle Law (NVHL) focuses less on on-road offences and more on ensuring accountability for the pressure from actions, inactions, demands and requests of off-road parties.

CoR is regulated in Australia by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). You can use this handy Gap Assessment Tool to see if you comply.

Risk Management

Risk management is a part of business that is often overlooked but vitally important. Identifying, monitoring and managing risks helps to minimise any potential negative impacts on your business such as lost time injuries and their associated costs while encouraging worker health, wellbeing and productivity.

TigerFleet can act as your risk management system and help you drive improvements in health and safety in your workplace. Work method statements can be controlled, stored and disseminated throughout your company or to third parties. Conduct your own workplace inspections and audits and track the improvements you make. Staff training reports make allocations a breeze and give you the piece of mind to know that you have the right people on the right job. Set automated reminders to ensure you never miss an audit and employee licences are renewed on time.

For more information regarding your legal requirements and potential benefits of a risk management system, contact your state or territory work health and safety authority.
